The Yoga Solace and Wellness Centre was created by Geri Laurence, and it is based on the concept of offering a space for individuals to experience the holistic aspect of yoga, meditation, nutrition and body work. We provide a non-intimidating space so that you can better understand the bio-mechanical functions of the body. In that understanding, you can participate in your own recovery process.
Senior yoga instructor Geri Laurence was one of the first founders of an organization called Vancouver Friends for Life. This organization provides support for people who have life-challenging illnesses. It received national recognition and is highly supported by the Vancouver community.
Geri has 20 years of experience, and she is recognized by the Yoga Association of British Columbia and by Yoga Alliance. She has trained with Sandra Sammartino, and is very grateful to her for her kindness over the years.. Geri also studies with Vicky Cathpole( Iyengar yoga) Rosewall studio in Courtney. Geri has also trained with Sue Ducros, B.S.c, M.B.A., from Ottawa. Sue is the facilitator of the radiant Child Yoga Program, and also Community Relations Director for Lululemon. Geri brings the Child Yoga Program to the community helping children with ADD/ADHD, Sensory Integration Dysfunction and Special needs. The child yoga program is available to all children so that they discover the inner radiance that already is present, and learn to be their expressive selfs without limitations. Geri Brings 20 years experience working with addictions and disabilities. Some of her experience includes working with Burnaby youth correctional centre, bringing in the volunteer work of the Elizabeth Fry Society. She was presented with an honorary certification from B.C. Ministry of children and families for outstanding contributions. She believes that yoga brings relief to mental and physical pain. Geri has also attended workshops with Father Joe from India and Dr. Ray Long (Key Muscles of Hatha Yoga)

Collette Ordano

Colette has been given the name of (Harliv Kaur). Har is the name of God, and Liv means longing. Kaur means the Princess/Lioness of God who walks with grace and power throughout her life. By receivng her name she connects with her soul by chanting and meditating upon the name of God with Love. GOD BLESS YOU HARLIV KAUR

Collette Ordano believes in treatment methods encompassing whole body well being. Designing a treatment plan for each individual using bodywork, stretching and movement, body-mind connection.
She is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.Colette has also been practising different styles of yoga for over 6 years. She is understanding of the movement of each persons body, and creates a caring space to facilitate this transformative activity that brings us to a new place. Collette beleives yoga is about the spiritual, mental, and physical practice.
all of these techniques are ways of reducing stress and relieving tension in the body.
Colette also teaches Pregnacy Yoga and has trained with International teacher Janice Clairfied. Janice Clarfied enjoys an international reputation as an inspiring teacher practitioner of yoga, meditation and energy healing. Janice trains professionls to work with pregnant women and expectant couples. Colette brings a nuturing comforting approach which is comforting for the expectant mother
Colette sees the positive effects of bodywork and holistic health on clients everyday, and includes these care plans into her own life. She also studies in health, balance, happiness, Chinese medicine, environment and other modalities, and makes them a life style. Collette has a gentle caring nuturing nature. All students that participate in her wellness program experience the care that they have been searching for
Emily has been a Registered Masage Therapist since 2004. She received her diploma in Massage Therapy from Kine Concept in Ottawa, Ontario. originally from Vancouver Island, Emily returned to Victoria in 2005 to build her massage practice
In 2006 Emily attended her first Bikram yoga class, which immediately inspired her to take the teacher training course. In fall of 2008 Emily received her certification to teach Bikram Hot Yoga.
Over the years Emily has explored different styles of yoga and feels that the introduction of heat to any form of yoga will greatly improve your overall practice. using her knowledge of any anatomy and systemic functions of the human body.
